As Team Leader Creative – Visual you will be part of a collaborative Creative Content Team that focuses on cross company content creation. At the core of this role is your ability to manage a team that takes creative ideas and turns them into tangible outputs. You will be a true enabler in the creative process. This full-time position is based in Amsterdam, and will be reporting to the Manager Creative Content in the Content Agency.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in the visual content and e-commerce industry to lead and develop a high-performing team in order to support Booking.com with photography, video, and other forms of visual content. Your role is to ensure that our visual content is always delivered at the highest possible quality.

As a Team Leader in the Content Agency, you will be responsible for delivering on team targets and KPIs.

You have a strong background in the visual content industry as well as proven success in managing teams and their quality of creative output. This role requires an individual with a strong background and industry knowledge, accompanied with the ability to build relationships; identify team and business trends; with a focus to deliver the best possible service to stakeholders across the Booking.com business.

B.responsible

  • Workload management to ensure delivery and improvement on KPIs and targets;
  • Ownership of quality for all visuals delivered by the Creative Team;
  • Guide and support team performance and put preventative and corrective actions in place where delivery falls short of expectations;
  • Supporting your team in their personal development and ensuring that your team is engaged with the company vision and Agency strategy;
  • Continually developing skills of the team and their craft;
  • Contribute to visual content projects, supplementing, curating, editing, post-processing & managing a compelling media collection to meet our corporate business objectives;
  • Image retouching as necessary;
  • Management of team budget;
  • HR tasks (performance reviews, training, recruitment, and staffing);
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business;
  • Ensure creative visual initiatives are well supported.

B.skilled:

  • 1-2+ years of management experience preferred;
  • Passion for people development and experience with leading and coaching international teams for performance
  • Proven track record of delivering creative content, at a minimum in photography projects
  • Wide knowledge of the visual content industry, with great understanding of new approaches to creative content creation
  • Solid understanding of quality, as well as an understanding visual content workflows, processes and tools such as the Adobe Suite.
  • Excellent communicator with proven stakeholder management experience, with the ability to stay balanced and resourceful
  • Experience of role development and performance frameworks within visual content
  • Strong ability to prioritize according to business needs
  • Proactive, positive and results-oriented attitude
  • Confident in image editing, selecting and search. A good understanding of post-editing is required;
  • Strong eye, well developed composition skills and refined imagery aesthetics skills
  • Ability to think creatively and move fast.
  • Strong collaborator, willingness to partner with colleagues and sees teamwork as critical work style
  • Analytical skills (ability to interpret performance data and draw conclusions to make business decisions)
  • Fluent English speaker and writer
